Program Mesra Hari Bertemu Pelanggan Siri 3/2026 was successfully held at the Kompleks Pentadbiran Daerah Kerian, Pekan Baru (Dennistown).

This programme provided  the opportunity for the local community to engage directly with government agencies, submit feedback and complaints, and obtain information regarding the services and initiatives offered by various departments. The event served as an important platform to strengthen communication between government agencies and the local community while enhancing the delivery of public services.

Later in the day, at 2:30 p.m., a telecommunications complaint site visit was conducted at Kampung Sungai Burung as part of the Kerian District Community Outreach Programme.

The visit aimed to assess firsthand the telecommunications coverage issues experienced within the area and review ongoing efforts to improve communication infrastructure for the benefit of local residents. Discussions focused on identifying challenges, evaluating current network conditions, and exploring solutions to enhance connectivity and digital accessibility within the community.

The programme continued with a visit to NADI (National Information Dissemination Centre), where participants engaged in an interactive session with local entrepreneurs. The session provided an opportunity to gain insights into the challenges and opportunities faced by small businesses, while highlighting the role of digital technology and community-based initiatives in supporting entrepreneurship and economic development.

IPOH – Digital Perak recently welcomed an official visit from the Director of Health for Perak, YBhg. Dato’ Dr. Feisul Idzwan Dato’ Mustapha, together with the senior management team of the Perak State Health Department, to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the pilot implementation of the Sihat AI Smart Health Kiosk initiative.

The visit included a strategic engagement session focused on evaluating the potential integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and telehealth technologies in strengthening the delivery of public healthcare services. Discussions centred on how digital innovation can enhance healthcare accessibility, efficiency, and responsiveness while supporting the evolving needs of communities across the state.

The programme was followed by a site visit to the operational kiosk located at the Perak Techno Trade Centre (PTTC), where delegates were given an in-depth overview of the kiosk’s implementation, operational effectiveness, and user adoption. The visit provided valuable insights into the role of smart healthcare solutions in complementing existing healthcare services and improving patient experience.

This initiative represents a significant example of cross-agency collaboration in advancing Perak’s Digital Economy agenda, particularly within the broader vision of developing a Smart State. Emphasis is placed on delivering more inclusive, accessible, and high-impact healthcare services through innovative digital solutions that cater to the needs of diverse communities.

A complaint management coordination briefing organised by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) Perak was successfully held at the Multipurpose Hall, Perak State Secretary Building.

The briefing focused on strengthening participants’ understanding of complaint management procedures and processes through the use of the MCMC Complaint Resolution Portal (CRP Portal). Participants were also introduced to the MCMC Nexus application, which serves as a platform for monitoring telecommunications coverage and network performance in the field.

The session aimed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of complaint handling by promoting a more structured and systematic approach to complaint submission, monitoring, and resolution.

This initiative was spearheaded by the Office of the State Executive Councillor for Communications, Multimedia and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) as part of ongoing efforts to improve public service delivery. Through better coordination and streamlined reporting mechanisms, the initiative seeks to ensure that complaints are communicated clearly, managed efficiently, and addressed through comprehensive follow-up actions.

The programme reflects the commitment of all stakeholders towards strengthening communication channels, improving telecommunications service monitoring, and delivering more responsive solutions to the needs of the public.

His Royal Highness Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah Al-Maghfur-Lah, Sultan of Perak Darul Ridzuan, graciously officiated the Official Opening Ceremony of the Fourth Session of the 15th Perak State Legislative Assembly at the Perak Darul Ridzuan Building.

His Royal Highness was accompanied by Her Royal Highness Raja Permaisuri Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim. Upon arrival, Their Royal Highnesses were received by YAB Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, Menteri Besar of Perak; YB Dato’ Seri Mohammad Zahir Dato’ Abdul Khalid, Speaker of the Perak State Legislative Assembly; and YB Dato’ Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Secretary of Perak.

The ceremony commenced with the rendition of the Perak State Anthem and the hoisting of the Personal Standard of His Royal Highness the Sultan of Perak, accompanied by a musical performance by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Kedah Contingent Band, led by Inspector Syed Mohd Izzudin Syed Salehudin.

His Royal Highness then graciously inspected the Main Guard of Honour, comprising three officers and 103 personnel from the Pasukan Gerakan Am Briged Utara (PGA), Ulu Kinta, under the command of Superintendent Ooi Jin Bin, Commanding Officer of Battalion 1.

The Guard of Honour was led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohd Fatahlul Moin Mat Isa, assisted by Assistant Superintendent of Police Mohd Izzat Ayob as Assistant Parade Commander.

The Colour Officer was Inspector Mohd Izwan Mohd Salleh, while Sub-Inspector Aswadi Bohari served as the Parade Sergeant Major.

Following the inspection ceremony, Their Royal Highnesses were escorted to the Royal Chamber before proceeding to the Assembly Hall, where His Royal Highness delivered the Royal Address in conjunction with the opening of the Fourth Session of the 15th Perak State Legislative Assembly.

The ceremony reflected the significance of constitutional governance and the enduring role of the Perak State Legislative Assembly in advancing the state’s development agenda and serving the interests of the people of Perak.

The recognition was awarded in appreciation of Digital Perak’s contribution through the Perak Digital Portal 2.0, which has played a significant role in supporting community-based initiatives and enhancing digital services for local communities.

The certificate was presented by Tuan Haji Saiful Azli Mohamed Nor, Municipal Secretary of MPKK, to Ms. Nurul Khairun Nisaa’ Mohamad Alias, representing Digital Perak Corporation Holdings. The presentation was witnessed by Mr. Mohd Azri Hisham Mohd Yusof, Administrative Officer.

The State of Perak is reinforcing its position as a key driver of Malaysia’s future green economy through the implementation of the Hydro Life Extension Programme (HLEP), supported by the development of a Centralised Accommodation Facility as a strategic component within the Perak River hydroelectric corridor.

Delivering remarks on behalf of the Menteri Besar of Perak, YB Dato’ Seri Ir. Haji Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin stated that the state’s natural resources, particularly the Perak River, are not merely a natural endowment but a strategic asset that underpins sustainable and competitive economic growth.

“Perak is not only contributing to the nation’s energy sector but is also positioning itself as a driving force for the future green economy. This is a long-term strategic initiative that will determine the resilience and competitiveness of the state’s economy in the decades ahead,” he said.

He noted that the development of hydroelectric power generation along the Perak River, dating back to the early 20th century and including the operation of major dams such as Temengor, Bersia, Kenering, and Chenderoh, has established a strong foundation for Malaysia’s energy security. Today, through the implementation of the HLEP by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) in collaboration with the Voith–HeiTech Consortium, Perak is taking a significant step forward in strengthening the nation’s Renewable Energy (RE) agenda.

With a generation capacity of 650.75 megawatts, the project is expected not only to enhance the operational efficiency of hydroelectric power stations but also to strengthen Perak’s role as a Strategic Clean Energy Hub, capable of attracting high-value investments, including those in the green technology and data centre sectors.

YB Dato’ Seri emphasized that TNB’s RM5.8 billion investment in the HLEP will serve as a major catalyst for economic growth in Hulu Perak. The project is anticipated to stimulate development in nearby towns such as Gerik and throughout the Hulu Perak district, positioning the area as a dynamic new centre of economic activity and support services.

“The state government is committed to ensuring that every phase of this project translates into meaningful benefits for the people. Therefore, the empowerment of local contractors and vendor development will remain a key pillar of our strategy to strengthen the state’s industrial ecosystem in a sustainable manner,” he added.

At the same time, he stressed that human capital development is central to this transformation. Through industry-based training programmes, strategic collaboration with Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, and technology transfer initiatives, Perak is cultivating a highly skilled local workforce capable of meeting the demands of the future energy industry.

Meanwhile, Datuk Redza Rafiq, Chief Executive Officer of the Perak State Development Corporation (PKNPk), stated:

“PKNPk acts as a facilitator in the implementation of projects such as this by coordinating technical matters and securing approvals from local authorities, the Land and Mines Office, the Department of Environment, the Energy Commission, technical and utility agencies, as well as regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project execution.”

He explained that the development of the Centralised Accommodation Facility is a critical component in ensuring the efficiency of large-scale projects such as the HLEP.

“In a project of this magnitude, true strength lies not only in technology but also in the people who drive it. This accommodation facility provides a conducive, safe, and well-planned environment to ensure that the workforce can operate at its optimum level,” he said.

The facility is designed to accommodate approximately 200 workers, enhancing productivity, stabilising workforce availability, reducing pressure on public infrastructure, and preserving the well-being of local communities. It also reflects international best practices in modern workforce management, with a strong emphasis on safety, welfare, and sustainability.

Datuk Redza further highlighted that the continued strengthening of the Temengor–Bersia–Kenering hydroelectric corridor will boost investor confidence in the state’s energy capabilities, create opportunities for new industrial growth, and position Perak at the forefront of Malaysia’s Renewable Energy (RE) transition agenda.

Overall, the HLEP is more than just an energy infrastructure project; it is a strategic instrument that is shaping a new economic landscape for the state by integrating clean energy development, empowering human capital, and strengthening the industrial ecosystem within a comprehensive and resilient framework.

The groundbreaking ceremony was officiated by YB Dato’ Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin, Chairman of the Perak State Infrastructure, Water, Energy and Public Transport Committee, representing the Menteri Besar of Perak.

Also in attendance was YB Dato’ Salbiah Mohamed, Chairman of the Perak State Women, Family, Social Welfare and Entrepreneur Development Committee and State Assembly Member for Temengor.

Digital Perak Corporation Holdings (Digital Perak) participated in the Mesra Hari Bertemu Pelanggan Programme Series 2/2026 by operating a customer service counter under the portfolio of the Perak State Executive Councillor for Communications, Multimedia and NGO, YB Encik Azlan Helmi. The programme was held at Stadium Indera Mulia, Ipoh.

The programme provided members of the public with the opportunity to engage directly with government leaders and representatives from various government agencies to voice their views, concerns, complaints, or enquiries.

A total of 96 customer service counters were made available during the programme to facilitate public engagement, enabling visitors to submit complaints, obtain information, and interact directly with representatives from relevant agencies. This initiative also served as a platform for the public to seek timely, transparent, and effective resolutions to issues affecting their communities.

Earlier in the day, the Perak State Public Library Corporation (PPANPk) launched its Digital Library Van, which functions as a mobile learning centre. The initiative aims to expand public access to reading materials and digital technology facilities, particularly for underserved communities.

Overall, the programme served as an important platform for strengthening the relationship between the government and the people, in line with the state’s development aspirations under the Perak Sejahtera 2030 agenda.
