COMME FEST 2026 x Karnival Internet Selamat concluded on a high note at Dewan Dato’ Azman Mahalan, Kuala Dipang, bringing together the local community for two days of engaging activities, sports, entertainment and valuable digital safety awareness programmes.
Organised by the Perak State Executive Council Committee for Communications, Multimedia and NGOs, in collaboration with strategic partners including Digital Perak, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), Bank Negara Malaysia, the National Civics Academy of Malaysia (AKM) and POS Malaysia, the event successfully brought together people from all walks of life through community engagement and public awareness initiatives.
Highlights of the Programme
The two-day event featured a wide range of activities designed to promote community well-being, strengthen social bonds and raise awareness of online safety, including:
- Brisk Walk, Fun Walk and Aerobics – Encouraging healthy lifestyles and active community participation.
- Traditional Community Sports and Inter-Mukim Tug-of-War Competition – Fostering teamwork, camaraderie and community spirit.
- Safe Internet Campaign Awareness Talks and Sharing Sessions – Featuring insights into the dangers of digital scams by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and cyber fraud tactics by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM).
- Official Opening Ceremony – Officiated by YB Mohd Azlan Helmi bin Helmi, Perak State Executive Councillor for Communications, Multimedia and NGOs, alongside the symbolic launch of the food box distribution initiative.
- Mobile Legends Esports Competition – Providing an exciting platform for gaming enthusiasts to showcase their skills.
- Free Motorcycle Engine Oil Change – Offering a practical service to benefit the local community.
- Agency Exhibitions, Food Fest Sales Stalls and Lucky Draws – Providing opportunities for public engagement, local commerce and entertainment.
- Special Performances – Featuring Ezad Lazim and Zonarama, adding to the festive atmosphere.
