The Perak State Government reaffirmed its commitment to listening to the people through the fifth series of the 2026 MESRA Hari Bertemu Pelanggan (HBP) programme, held at Dewan Dato’ Lope Hashim.

Perak’s Menteri Besar, YAB Dato’ Seri Saarani bin Mohamad, said the MESRA HBP programme remains a strategic platform for local communities to submit complaints, obtain direct clarification and resolve various matters through the cooperation of government departments and agencies.

A total of 153 new complaints were received during the fifth series. He said that, up to the fourth series, 862 complaints had been recorded, of which 722, or 84 per cent, had been resolved. The remaining 140 complaints, or 16 per cent, are currently being followed up by the relevant authorities.

The programme was also attended by key state leaders, including Perak State Legal Adviser YB Dato’ Azmir Shah bin Zainal Abidin; Perak State Financial Officer YB Dato’ Mohd Zaki bin Mahyudin; Director of Lands and Mines, Perak, YBhg. Dato’ Mohamad Fariz bin Mohamad Hanip; and YBrs. Encik Nazrul Fazami bin Mohamad.

To enhance service delivery, the fifth series featured 76 customer service counters, five mobile service counters and 14 exhibition booths. Visitors also had the opportunity to purchase essential goods at affordable prices through the Jualan Murah and Jualan Rahmah initiatives.
