A site visit and field inspection were conducted to review the progress of the new telecommunications tower development at KM 302.9, Gua Tempurung, and to assess the status of telecommunications coverage at several reported complaint locations across the Batang Padang District.
The visit was led by YB Encik Azlan Helmi bin Helmi, Perak State Executive Councillor for Communications, Multimedia and NGOs, together with YB Dato’ Sivanesan Achalingam, Perak State Executive Councillor for Health, representatives from the Batang Padang District Office, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) Perak, Digital Perak Corporation Holdings, and representatives from telecommunications service providers.
The locations visited included:
- New Telecommunications Tower Site, KM 302.9, Gua Tempurung
- Kampung Kuala Gepai
- Kampung Menderang
- Kampung Sabar Jaya
- RPT Muhibbah Multipurpose Hall
- NADI Kampung Baru Kuala Bikam
Based on the field assessment and on-site observations, telecommunications coverage at the reported complaint locations was found to be satisfactory, with mobile network services being accessible and performing well.
The visit also provided an opportunity for all stakeholders to assess current requirements and strengthen collaboration in ensuring the continuous enhancement of telecommunications infrastructure and digital services for the benefit of the people of Perak.
The Perak State Government, MCMC, Digital Perak, and telecommunications service providers remain committed to delivering higher-quality, more stable, and comprehensive telecommunications coverage throughout the state.
