The Majlis Executive Talk 2026 and New Year Address was officiated by the YAB Menteri Besar of Perak, Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, together with civil servants of the State of Perak, serving as a strategic platform to align the direction of the state administration for the year 2026.
In his address, the YAB Menteri Besar emphasised that 2026 will be a critical test of the administrative machinery’s ability to translate policies into action and planning into tangible outcomes that directly benefit the people. Five key focus areas were outlined as the core drivers of the state’s agenda, namely strengthening revenue generation and economic sustainability, resolving public complaints comprehensively, advancing digital transformation alongside the use of data and artificial intelligence, ensuring the success of Visit Malaysia Year 2026, and empowering work culture as well as administrative capacity.
Emphasis was also placed on the importance of integrity, fiscal discipline, responsiveness, and empathy in the delivery of public services, in line with the aspirations of the Perak Sejahtera 2030 Plan. The YAB Menteri Besar called upon all civil servants to strengthen their commitment, move away from silo-based work practices, and operate collectively to ensure a government that is functional, capable, and trusted by the people.
The event reflects the continued commitment of the Perak State Government to strengthening governance, enhancing the quality of public service delivery, and ensuring that state development is implemented in a sustainable manner with the well-being of the people as its central focus.
