A working visit involving departments and agencies under the Communications, Media and Multimedia (COMME) portfolio was conducted today in the Sungai Manik State Legislative Assembly (DUN) area to assess communication coverage issues raised during the Perak State Legislative Assembly sitting, particularly along the route from Kampung Headwork to SMK Sultan Abdullah, Chenderong Balai.
The visit was led by YB Tuan Azlan bin Helmi, Chairman of the Perak State Communications, Media and Multimedia Committee. Also in attendance were YB Dato’ Zainol Fadzi, Special Officer to the Menteri Besar for DUN Sungai Manik, Mr. Azam Afandi, and Pasir Salak Branch Chief, Mr. Hisamuddin Ali.
The delegation visited several key locations, including:
- Degong Agriculture Office
- SMK Sultan Abdullah
- Pengkalan Daun Telecommunications Tower
- Sekolah Menengah Islam Tahfiz Al-Amin
- NADI Kampung Permatang
The purpose of the visit was to identify the root causes of the communication coverage issues and to evaluate the technical requirements and necessary improvement measures to ensure more stable and comprehensive connectivity for the local community.
The Perak State Government, through the COMME portfolio, remains committed to enhancing communication infrastructure and digital access in the interest of public well-being, particularly in rural areas.
