A working visit involving departments and agencies under the Communications, Media and Multimedia (COMME) portfolio was conducted today in the Sungai Manik State Legislative Assembly (DUN) area to assess communication coverage issues raised during the Perak State Legislative Assembly sitting, particularly along the route from Kampung Headwork to SMK Sultan Abdullah, Chenderong Balai.

The visit was led by YB Tuan Azlan bin Helmi, Chairman of the Perak State Communications, Media and Multimedia Committee. Also in attendance were YB Dato’ Zainol Fadzi, Special Officer to the Menteri Besar for DUN Sungai Manik, Mr. Azam Afandi, and Pasir Salak Branch Chief, Mr. Hisamuddin Ali.

The delegation visited several key locations, including:

• Degong Agriculture Office
• SMK Sultan Abdullah
• Pengkalan Daun Telecommunications Tower
• Sekolah Menengah Islam Tahfiz Al-Amin
• NADI Kampung Permatang

The purpose of the visit was to identify the root causes of the communication coverage issues and to evaluate the technical requirements and necessary improvement measures to ensure more stable and comprehensive connectivity for the local community.

The Perak State Government, through the COMME portfolio, remains committed to enhancing communication infrastructure and digital access in the interest of public well-being, particularly in rural areas.

Digital Perak Corporation Holdings 2026 Townhall Session, chaired by the Chief Executive Officer, was successfully held today with the participation of all employees of Digital Perak. The session focused on the organisation’s current performance and the presentation of its strategic plans for 2026, ensuring that Digital Perak’s direction remains clear, structured, and aligned with evolving priorities and stakeholder needs.

In his address, the Chief Executive Officer highlighted the organisation’s key achievements throughout 2025 and their impact on overall growth and development. The discussion then shifted to the strategic direction and priority initiatives for 2026, including updates on current financial performance and projected plans for the year ahead.

The session also featured an interactive Q&A segment, providing employees with the opportunity to seek direct clarification, as well as to share constructive feedback and suggestions to support continuous improvement.

Among the key areas emphasised was Digital Perak’s role as the coordinator of Smart City initiatives at the state level. At the same time, efforts to strengthen existing digital operations will continue to be enhanced through the TDS, HIM, and CMS units to ensure service delivery remains consistent, effective, and responsive to stakeholder expectations.

Overall, the Townhall session not only aligned organisational priorities but also reinforced the collective commitment of all employees to achieving the 2026 strategic agenda with greater focus, sustainability, and high impact.

Digital Perak hosted a courtesy visit from a delegation of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, together with AZCON Holding, at the Perak Techno Trade Centre (PTTC).

The delegation was led by Mr. Etibar Huseynov, Executive Secretary to the Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan. The visit was attended by the Chief Executive Officer of Digital Perak, Mr. Mohamad Suhaimi bin Mohamad Tahir; the Director of Business Development, Mr. Mohammad Effendi bin Abd Talib; as well as officers from Digital Perak.

The discussion session aimed to explore the potential development of a new digital gateway connecting Europe and Asia, in line with efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and identify strategic collaboration opportunities driven by connectivity, clean energy, and an innovation-friendly ecosystem.

The meeting also facilitated in-depth strategic discussions on national priorities in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity, Digitalisation, and Innovation. Digital Perak remains committed to strengthening collaboration and exploring strategic partnership opportunities between the State of Perak and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Majlis Executive Talk 2026 and New Year Address was officiated by the YAB Menteri Besar of Perak, Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, together with civil servants of the State of Perak, serving as a strategic platform to align the direction of the state administration for the year 2026.

In his address, the YAB Menteri Besar emphasised that 2026 will be a critical test of the administrative machinery’s ability to translate policies into action and planning into tangible outcomes that directly benefit the people. Five key focus areas were outlined as the core drivers of the state’s agenda, namely strengthening revenue generation and economic sustainability, resolving public complaints comprehensively, advancing digital transformation alongside the use of data and artificial intelligence, ensuring the success of Visit Malaysia Year 2026, and empowering work culture as well as administrative capacity.

Emphasis was also placed on the importance of integrity, fiscal discipline, responsiveness, and empathy in the delivery of public services, in line with the aspirations of the Perak Sejahtera 2030 Plan. The YAB Menteri Besar called upon all civil servants to strengthen their commitment, move away from silo-based work practices, and operate collectively to ensure a government that is functional, capable, and trusted by the people.

The event reflects the continued commitment of the Perak State Government to strengthening governance, enhancing the quality of public service delivery, and ensuring that state development is implemented in a sustainable manner with the well-being of the people as its central focus.

On 28 May 2025, a delegation from Digital Perak Corporation Holdings (Digital Perak), led by its General Manager, Encik Meor Rezal Fitri, visited the Kedah State Secretary (Incorporation) (SSK) for a knowledge-sharing session focused on the implementation and operation of the Kedah Telecommunication One Stop Agency (OSA).

The discussion also highlighted the implementation coordination for telecommunication fees, legalization of telecommunication towers, enforcement measurement for unregistered towers and proposal of ideas for new state revenues.

On 24 May 2025, Digital Perak successfully organized a Glow & Go – STEM with Paper Circuits & Smart Coding programme that allowed the participants to understand the fundamentals of closed and open circuits and learn electronics and circuits using paper, copper tape, LEDs and batteries. This programme also included a bonus activity, an introduction to basic coding.

On 13 May 2025, Hub Inovasi & Multimedia (HiM) hosted participants of Kursus Pengurusan Mukim Negeri Perak organized by the Unit Perancang Ekonomi Negeri (UPEN) Perak and Kesatuan Penghulu/Penggawa Semenanjung Malaysia Cawangan Negeri Perak. This computer-based training was a collaboration with Digital Perak Corporation Holdings (Digital Perak).

Digital Perak Corporation Holdings (Digital Perak) organized a Makerspace Programme: DIY Solar Powered Car at Hub Inovasi & Multimedia (HiM) on 10 May 2025.

During the programme, participants were able to gain an understanding of renewable energy concepts through practical and fun activities by building a functional DIY solar car.

An online Kursus Inovasi Rakyat 4.0 Asas Adobe Illustrator course was conducted by Digital Perak Corporation Holdings (Digital Perak) on 8 May 2025.
